Like Ayawasi, Ubrub is surrounded by dense jungle. Located near the border with Papua New Guinea, it is served by Fr Cornelius O.S.A. The next parish is reached by a four-hour walk through the jungle, and there he meets with another Papuan-born Augustinian, Fr Lambert O.S.A., in the Parish of Yuruf. Even though the Order of Saint Augustine is present in over a total of forty nations, Ubrub and Yuruf would be among the most isolated Augustinian appointments in the world.
