The education of girls is one of the very best economic and social investments that families and communities can make.
This is demonstrated in studies that indicate that girls who go to school end up marrying later, having up to half as many children and raising healthier children who are more likely to attend school themselves.
Did you know there are more than 100 million children in the world who cannot attend school simply because they are poor and hungry?
We need your help to let others know about these children and how easy it is to help them. In the poorest parts of the world, the promise of one nutritious meal each day is all it takes to attract a child to school and the chance for a better future.
It costs only 19 Cents a Day or $34 a year to make a difference in the life of a child.
Each of us can make that difference!
Here are some ways to help:
1. Write letters to your elected officials. Help these children out of hunger and into school by writing to your elected officials and sharing your concerns about world hunger.
2. Write Letters to the Editor. You can let the editors of your local newspapers know how many children are in need and that it takes only 19 cents a day to feed a child at school. ID2415
