This OWWWA group adopted the following program:
Session 1: 14th May 2008 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Through readings from Augustine, singing, reflection, discussion, and group participation the participants had a closer look at friendship, and friendship in families through the following methods
- Defining friendship
- Reflection on what friendship means in our life
- Examine our relationship with family
- Activities.
Session 2: 21st May 2008 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Through various readings from Augustine and Gospel, along with singing, reflection, discussion and group participation we had a closer look at friendship in community and friendship in God through the following methods.
- Exploring our understanding of community
- Identify difficult areas within communities
- Provide suggestions for solutions to difficult situations
- Examine our relationship with God
- Activities
Celebration Day: 24th May 24 2008, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Father Larry led this session with Mass in the Chapel. His talk on friendship included readings and quotes from Augustine on Alypius and Possidius. The talked incorporated the four areas previously discussed. (Friends: Friendship in Family, in Community and in God).
ART project: The balance of the day was spent on creating a heart for mural that will hang at the Monastery. This mural reflects the groups understanding of friendship be it community, family, or in God.
